The conference will be held at 247 S. State Street — DePaul University’s Richard M. and Maggie C. Daley Building in downtown Chicago. All events will be held in the Daley Building, next to the Red Line CTA Jackson Train station stop.
All conference locations are easily accessible by Chicago's public transportation system, the L. The nearest lines to the conference are the Red Line, Blue Line, Green Line, Brown Line, Orange Line, Pink Line and Purple Line. From the Red/Blue trains, exit at Jackson Boulevard. From the other lines, exit at Adams Street/Wabash Avenue. It is also very close to the bus lines and the Metra (light rail) lines. Metra Train stations are located within a short walking distance (or cab ride) of the Loop Campus (Union Station; Chicago & Northwestern Station; LaSalle Street Station; Illinois Central Station).
Although there are no official conference hotels, we recommend staying at either: The Club Quarters Central Loop or Palmer House.
There are multiple parking lots and garages in the area, and you can reserve a spot through Spothero or Parkwhiz (type in 247 S. State Street as the address). The closest garage is at Adams and Wabash, and the Grant Park South garage is just two blocks away.

Conference Harassment Policy
DePaul's Pop Culture Conference is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age, religion, or identity. This is in keeping with DePaul University’s own Anti-Discrimination and Anti-Harassment policies. Joining together fan and scholar communities, this colloquium is intended to be open and welcoming to all. We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form. Conference participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference at the discretion of the conference organizers. Harassment includes offensive verbal comments, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention. Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. In particular, exhibitors should not use sexualized images, activities, or other material. Event staff (including volunteers) should not use sexualized clothing/uniforms/costumes, or otherwise create a sexualized environment. Cosplay is not consent!
If a participant, attendee, or guest engages in harassing behavior, the conference organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the conference. If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of conference staff immediately. Conference staff can be identified by t-shirts. Conference staff will be happy to help participants contact hotel/venue security or local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the conference. We expect participants to follow these rules at all conference venues and conference-related social events. We value your attendance!
